Will Forrester reckons Wanderers have “no need to fear anyone” as they prepare to host League One leaders Birmingham.

The Whites enter the game in good form, with 10 points from their last four league games following a solid point at Wrexham over the weekend.

Big spenders Birmingham have lost just twice in the league this season and have a 12-point cushion at the top of the table, with a game in hand still to make up.

But Forrester insists that Bolton should enter the game with belief as Steven Schumacher’s men aim to keep building momentum in the play-off race.

“We know Birmingham are a good team and have spent an absolute fortune, but we don't fear anyone,” he said.

“I think the motivation is the same for every game. We want to go out there and win, no matter who it is, if it's top of the league or bottom of the league.

“We know that they are a good team but we are in good form ourselves at the minute, so we have no need to fear anyone. We will go out there on Tuesday and give it our best shot.”

The defender added: “We have the fans behind us, who were outstanding again (at Wrexham) like they always are. We don't fear them, we will go out there and play attacking football and get right into them.”

The 23-year-old delivered another promising display in the backline at the Racecourse Ground as Wanderers kept a hard-earned clean sheet.

Forrester has had to be patient for opportunities at times since joining from Port Vale in the summer of 2023.

However, the centre-back has gone from strength to strength in recent weeks and believes there is still more to come.

“I have finally had that run of games which I need to get in a rhythm and build consistency,” he explained.

“I think I am starting to do that now, which is what I've wanted since I signed here. I love playing for this club and wearing that shirt. Hopefully, I can keep performing and keep that shirt for the rest of the season.”

It is tight in the League One table, with just three points separating Charlton in sixth and Reading in ninth heading towards the business stage of the season.

Forrester is confident that Wanderers can keep heading in the right direction if they stay focused on themselves.

“There is plenty of football left,” he said. “Everyone knows that anything can happen in football, so we are just taking it game by game and trying to get those points.

“If we just focus game by game, the points will come and we will end up where we want to be.”
